To begin with, Darin is a person who is very committed to the Sport of Schutzhund and is immeasurably a great sportsman.
Darin is one of the mentors for the Newfoundland Schutzhund Club. He has been a tremendous help to us as a trainer, helper and handler. Without his assistance our club would not be as strong.
Some of Darin's highlites are;
- The President of the Fundy Regional Schutzhund Club.
- The Training Director for the Fundy Regional Schutzhund Club.
- A Director on the German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada.
- Been involved in the sport for over 8 years.
- Trained as a helper/decoy in Canada, U.S.A and Germany.
- Have either trained or assisted in training 100 dogs in protection and tracking.
- Has been a helper at club and Regional levels.
- Is currently training a puppy at 10 months old.
- A member of Team Canada 2004.
Darin has trained his retired competition dog Whisky von der Heidenschanze - SchH3, IP 3, FH1, KKL 2 to 12 times Schutzhund 3.
Their highlights are;
- 2004 Worlds, WUSV in Holland as a member of Team Canada
- 2004 Canadian G.S.D Championships - 4th place overall.
- 2003 Canadian G.S.D Championships - high score tracking - 7th place overall.
- 2003 Eastern Canada Regionals - 3rd place.
- 2003 Atlantic Canadian Championship -1st place.
- 2002 Canadian G.S.D.Championships - tied high score obedience.
- 2002 Atlantic Canadian Championship - 1st place.
- 2002 Atlantic Canadian Championship - high score tracking and high score obedience.
- 2001 Harbour Lights Schutzhund Club - 1st place, high score tracking and protection.
- 2001 Fundy Regional Schutzhund trial- 2nd place - high score protection
